“On 13 January 2072 I will die” – this is the striking first line from the introduction to the new single 2072 by Swiss harpist, composer and producer KETY FUSCO. “I did not love the world I was living in and that is why it did not allow me to stay any longer. Forests precede civilizations, deserts follow them…” – what an interesting statement to introduce the first course of her upcoming album THE HARP, CHAPTER I with. Together with the single’s artwork, which shows the artist in the middle of a forest, dressed in a futuristic, white overall and bathed in artificial light, it gives me some dystopian vibes – casually said. The track is rather timeless, more melancholic than the earlier compositions I ‘ve heard to date. But equally beautiful… makes you want to hear more.
So on March 3rd, 2023 it will see the light of the world: KETY FUSCO’s new album, which was recorded at Floating Notes Studio in San Bernardino (Switzerland), 1700 meters altitude, in an old barn converted into a house. It features sounds of drones, strings, sighs and drums, which are the result of a sound research of these three harps: a classical harp Daphne 47, a Salvi Delta electric harp in carbon and a Salvi Delta electric harp in wood.
THE HARP, CHAPTER I will be available as digital release, on CD, and vinyl. Both physical releases will be also available as bundle, together with a t-shirt and stickers, and signed.
