AS I WALK
Matthew Halsall’s oeuvre has a plethora of great, brilliant music to offer, but our TRACK OF THE DAY today AS I WALK, which he recorded in collaboration with his band, the Gondwana Orchestra, is extraordinarily captivating with its infectious harmony and balance, thanks in no small part to the gentle voice of British soul singer JOSEPHINE ONIYAMA.
And if you’re starting to revel now: the excellent album INTO FOREVER (2015), from which our track of the day comes, has three more tracks with the voice of Josephine Oniyama to offer, as well as a track with another great jazz singer: BRYONY JARMAN-PINTO.
